There are three types of search queries that a user enter in the search box.
1. Navigational Search Query
2. Informational Search Query
3. Transactional Search Query
Navigational Search Query: -
Navigational search queries means when web searchers are searching for particular website or a specific web page. Search terms can include words, phrases, and abbreviations and can be domain names or URLs.
Ex: - If a web searcher searching for http://himseo.blogspot.in/
Informational Search Query: -
Informational search queries means when a searcher is searching something to get information. It can be a question that he wants to get the answer directly. In these searches often a user uses these types of words like “How To”.
Ex: - How to create a blog.
Transactional Search Query: -
A transactional search query means those searches that have the intent of performing a specific action. Search terms can include exact brand and product names as well as action words (buy, download, subscribe etc…)
Ex: - Download free Wordpress themes
